Working the Back End

You're mistaken if you think that writing one product is enough to sustain an online business. You need to churn out a ton of e-books, or you need to have other products that you can sell to your list. This is called working the "back-end."

Unless you're a prolific writer, you won't be able to put out a new e-book every month. So you need to find other ways to support your income.

Scan the Internet and find products that are relevant to your list and that has not been officially launched or adequately marketed. And it doesn't necessarily have to be an e-book either.

Then all you have to do is intersperse product promotions with solid newsletter content.

It's quite amazing to see how some people are so loyal to a list owner and will buy again and again on a list owner's recommendation.

The word "recommended" is a powerful word when it's used on people who trust and respect your judgment.

If you're doing your job right and are carefully cultivating the relationship with your customers by sending them information that they value, then there is a very good possibility that your customers will buy from you again.

So make sure that you keep on working your back end!
